Meet Brand Driven Social, a Social Media Marketing Agency

Recently, when I unveiled the new design of this blog, I said it was part of something bigger and to stay tuned. Well, prior to SXSW, I quietly launched a companion site to this blog called simply Brand Driven Social

In addition to blogging more, I made another New Year’s resolution in January. I wanted to better connect the branding and social media content found on this blog (Brand Driven Insights) with our agency’s professional services around social media. Thus Brand Driven Social (get it?) was born. While content development and social media strategy, training, and management have always been part of our offerings, we’ve never proactively positioned ourselves in the space.

In the continuos case of physician heal thyself (or the cobbler’s son has no shoes — whichever you prefer) we are often the last to adopt our own teachings like the value of more precise positioning.

The content here on this blog has seen increasing traction over the past year by sitting at the intersection of branding and social media. It’s only logical that how we commercialize this content into services follows suit. Our name really says it all. We are grounded in a core belief that strong, stand-out brands drive business success by cultivating communities of raving fans and followers via social media marketing.

Beyond being the hub for our professional services such as social media strategy, training and management as well as content development, I’ll also house free resources like my recent Google+ eBook at Brand Driven Social. You’ll also see an ‘Events’ tab. I’m pleased to announce what will be there … very soon.

There’s very deliberate linkage between the two sites, both in branding and literally in shared content and hyperlinks as this blog’s feed is very much a part of that social agency site’s supporting content. This blog will continue to be my home base for my speaking work as well.

Why host all of this under separate URLs at two different sites? Good question. And for right now, I don’t have a smart answer other than it seemed like the right thing to do. Essentially my opinionated thought leadership in written and spoken form will live here on the blog, while our new social agency site is built to sell more than I do here — which is not at all and I’d like to keep it that way. At some point, it might make sense to merge these sites but it doesn’t feel right now.

As a regular reader, this addition won’t impact my content here at all. However, if you are interested in working with me and my team to build your social brand, the path has gotten a bit more clear.
