This week on Social Brand Chat presented by KXIC we discussed a question via Google+ from Geri Seiberling: “How do you make time for content creation?” Time management is one of the biggest challenges that marketers struggle with when it comes to social media and content marketing. Let’s chat about this.

As reported by the Content Marketing Institute, content creation — blogs, videos, podcasts, ebooks, white papers, and more — is on the rise across all industry sectors and business sizes. A great resource on content marketing is the book Content Rules by Ann Handley and C.C. Chapman. They advise re-imagining your content into new forms. For example, turn a series of blog posts into an ebook. We also discussed a few other tips and tricks.

Our social media news item was Apple’s recent acquisition of analytics firm Topsy. This gives Apple access to the platform’s “full firehose” of tweets from Twitter — roughly 500 million a day! What do you think Apple plans on doing with these enhanced social capabilities?

Do you have a question about social media you’d like answered? Ask in the comments below, on our Facebook page, or on Twitter using #SocialBrandChat. Check out previous episodes of the Social Brand Chat podcast here.
