How Do You Grow Your Instagram Following?

This week on Social Brand Chat presented by KXIC we discussed a question we received last week after our first Content Marketing Boot Camp in Cedar Rapids: “How do you grow your Instagram following?” During past show’s we’ve discussed how to connect your Instagram feed to Facebook but let’s chat about what it takes to grow your following on this fun, photo-driven social network.

One of the biggest things to remember about Instagram is that it’s a very different social network than Facebook or Twitter. Your follower count may not be as high as your presence on those networks that you’ve spent years cultivating. Instead focus on fan engagement by posting images that draw more likes and comments from your community. A couple of easy tools for monitoring your Instagram presence are Statigram and Simply Measured.

For this week’s social media news, we discussed Facebook’s 10-year birthday which they celebrated by allowing users to create “Lookback” videos of their most popular Facebook moments.
