Exploring Minneapolis with Jason Falls & a Team of Experts

As readers here know, I’m in the throes of planning Iowa’s premier social media marketing event — the Social Brand Forum. However, next month I’m proud to be speaking at what promises to be a powerful event August 16-17 as Jason Falls brings his Explore series to Minneapolis for two days of social media insights from a formidable crew of social media experts. 

What’s Explore all about? The content is designed to help businesses who are trying to move past the tactical minutiae of social to a comfort level more grounded in strategy. Jay Baer of Convince and Convert and co-author of The Now Revolution will open the day with some awesome ideas on social media and content marketing and the topics that will be covered include creating social media strategies, integrating social and traditional mediums, mobile marketing opportunity and innovation, content marketing strategy and more. I’m looking also looking forward to soaking up smarts from friends Tom Webster of Edison Research, Chuck Hemann of WCG, and DJ Waldow.

What will I be talking about at Explore? Actually, I’m really excited about this too! My session on Thursday is called Time, Talent, & Terror: Obstacles to Social Media Adoption. It’s a brand new talk that I’m having a lot of fun prepping as we take a look at how to respond to some of the eye-rolling objections we get thrown our way as we work to build more social brands. During this session we’ll meet these obstacles head on and look at strategies for attacking them to ensure that the “3 Ts” don’t get in the way of your business’ social media aspirations.
