value of coupons

Coupons have been a tried and true marketing tool for generations but how are they holding up in the digital age? As it turns out, pretty good. Vouchercloud put together an infographic (below) looking at how coupons can be used by brands to drive greater engagement both online and off. It also examines typical consumer behavior concerning coupons and the logic behind successful digital coupon campaigns.

The use of digital coupons is growing quickly with 29% of people having used online coupons in 2013 (compared to 16% in 2010) and 10% having used mobile coupons in 2013 (compared to just 4% in 2010). The infographic also highlights where customers tend to find these coupons and what in their opinion constitutes to the ‘best’ ones (HINT: the discounts need to substantial and on products they like and would be buying anyway). It also offers insights into reasons why customers might not be interested in coupons, so marketers can avoid these pitfalls. Let’s take a look!
