This week on Social Brand Chat presented by KXIC we discussed a question from my Content Marketing Boot Camp at MarketingProfs B2B Marketing Forum last week in Boston, “Is it OK to repurpose content?” Good question! Sometimes we can wring our hands over reusing and repurposing content. Let’s chat about this.

As Google’s Zero Moment of Truth data reminds us, shoppers are now looking for twice as much content to help them make their purchase decisions. As marketers, this means we need to not only create content. It means we need to create more content than ever before. That’s why smart marketers always look for ways to get more from their content. Got a few blog posts on a similar topic? Combine them and create an ebook. Got an ebook? Take it apart as a few blog posts. You get the idea.

For this week’s social media news we talked about Dreamforce 2014, Salesforce’s annual user conference which is going on right now in San Francisco. BIG congrats to Iowa City’s own Mike Gerholdt for delivering the Amazing Admin Keynote!
